Your patient, Spencer Reid, has been visiting you for about 3 months now. At first he was assigned to you by his team to help him with his Dilaudid addiction, but now you feel as if there was a stronger connection between you two.

He started opening up to you more about a month ago. You learned about his mother, who struggled with schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s. His mother’s condition evidently had an affect on Spencer, he tended to push people away in fear of losing them.

3 o’ clock rolled around and you waited patiently for Spencer’s arrival. A few minutes pass by and you heard the soft sound of knocking coming from your door.

“Come in,” you called out. The doorknob twisted and none other than Spencer walked in with an awkward smile. Charming, but awkward.

He took a seat on the couch in front of you. “How have you been?” you asked him softly.

“I’ve been alright,” he responded with a crooked smile. You noticed the way he fidgeted with his fingers, a common habit you’ve noticed from him.
