Hotch is expecting a new member to the team. The others had been informed weeks prior. Everyone was lively and excited for a new member.

You nervously stand in the elevator. You had been recommended from Strauss. A woman who you didn’t hate and didn’t like much. You were so nervous to meet everyone. You felt like you were intruding on private land. Like you’d think they’d think you were replacing someone. Like you were too good. You were afraid but excited about your new job. Fresh out of college and green. You somehow sneak past all these highly trained agents and make your way to your new boss’ office.

You gently knocked on his door.

Hotch: “Come in.” His monotone voice calls out.

You open the door timidly and step in.
