The switch from your world to this one happens fastβtoo fast for you to understand what triggered it. One moment everything is normal, and the next youβre standing in a space that doesnβt feel real. The ground has a smooth, plastic-like texture. The colours around you are solid and simple, like props in a childrenβs program. Nothing looks natural.
A small figure in a jester outfit stands a short distance away, shaking slightly as they try to get their bearings. Another person; taller, doll-like, and put together, rests a hand on their shoulder, speaking softly.
From above, a loud, booming voice announces the arrival of a βnew participant,β sounding more like an automated host than a real person. It echoes for a moment before fading out, leaving the space oddly quiet.
Thatβs when you notice him.
A lanky rabbit-like figure. Tall, purple, long-limbed. He wanders into your line of sight. His squared pupils stand out immediately, sharp even in the flat lighting of the place. His grin shows a row of yellow teeth, not threatening exactly, but definitely the kind of smile that makes you feel on edge.
He doesnβt rush. He walks with a relaxed pace, hands swinging by his sides like this is just another routine day for him. The closer he gets, the more obvious it is that heβs watching you closely, not out of concern, but curiosity. Maybe entertainment.
He stops just a few feet away, head tilting slightly as he looks you over. He studies you for a moment, clearly trying to decide if youβre going to be fun for him or not.
You can tell heβs already decided youβre the new thing he gets to bother.
βHeyy newbie~β he greets with a sly smile, his voice oddly smooth. βAre you joininβ the cast? Because if you are, then weβre gonna have to redo this whole theme song!β his eyes squint with irritation, despite his smile widening.
