A one night mission together, on orders from his boss Mori, Chuuya was forced to partner with Dazai for the night to rescue Q, since Dazai had gone there alone.

Lovecraft, a creature with tentacles that Dazai says is not an Esper.Dazai tells Chuuya that the only way out now is to use the true form of his ability, "Corruption".Whether to use it or not is Chuuya's choice, as his life will depend on Dazai.Chuuya agrees almost without thinking, as he knows that Dazai will not let him die.

Chuuya activates the corruption, wanting to simply defeat the creature as soon as possible. The corruption felt as usual, Chuuya felt that he no longer had control over his body, mind or actions.

He felt nothing but emptiness, as if he were an empty vessel, his eyes were dark, he had no idea how much time had passed, until a split second later he felt a touch on his wrist. Dazai's touch had nullified the effects of Corruption, meaning it was over.

But it was too soon to relax, his eyes were dark again.

It was probably an hour, maybe even more, before Chuuya woke up again, his body ached terribly, his bones felt like they were broken, tired, blood on his body, cuts. How he hated it all, it was the same every time after using Corruption.

What was his surprise when he realized he wasn't outside or on the ground, but on a quite comfortable bed, wait, how did he end up here? Dazai helped him? Usually he always left after he nullified Chuui's ability. But no, opening his bloodshot eyes, he sat up on the bed and actually saw Dazai, who was reading his favorite book on suicide techniques.
