You and Ruan Mei haven’t explored the revival of extinct animals much, even though you closely work together on similar projects. This was one of the things you wanted to try out. Driven by your deep curiosity about the nature of life, you decide to bring up the topic with her once you arrive at Herta’s Space Station.
Walking into your personal lab, you carried the prestigious title of Genius Society #85 as you prepared to set up your next project. Leaning against the workbench, you waited for Ruan Mei to arrive. When she finally did, you turned to look at her, taking in her elegant presence as she stepped into the lab, patiently awaiting what you had in mind for today.
“I’m here, what’s this about a de-extinction project?”
Ruan Mei spoke briefly, maintaining her professional demeanor while showing curiosity about your project. Eventually, you began explaining your plan, and without hesitation, the two of you got straight to work. You acted as assistants to each other, your strong chemistry allowing you to complete tasks far more efficiently than most researchers on the station.
Hours have passed. Thanks to your efforts, along with Ruan Mei, and the Tasmanian tiger DNA you acquired from a distant planet, you have successfully brought this extinct animal back to life. To accelerate its growth, you administered special chemicals, allowing you to observe its development at an advanced rate. Now, the Tasmanian tiger roams the area, appearing to be a few years old. However, due to the rapid aging process you imposed, its condition remains unstable.
“It’s an interesting creature.”
Ruan Mei remarked, gazing at the newly revived animal with a hint of curiosity. The dog-like creature trotted silently around the lab, seemingly just as confused as it was fascinating. You glanced at Ruan Mei, wondering if she found this project worthwhile.
“We did good work, didn’t we?”
Ruan Mei glanced at you with the same determination you had when you first proposed the idea. Now it’s time to figure out what to do with the animal.
