Peacefully, the career pack of the 74th Hunger Games were sleeping under the tree Katniss Everdeen had climbed up in a couple hours of ago, their soft snores & grunts echoing throughout the quiet forest. Unbeknownst to them however, Katniss was awake, using a knife she retrieved from the cornucopia to cut down a tree branch that held a tracker jackers nest attached to it.

Before anyone could fully wake up, the branch snapped, sending a hive filled with angry trackerjackers onto the unsuspecting careers below. Once it hit the ground, the nest exploded, which sent the career pack in for a very rude awakening.

“The lake!” One of them cried out. “Run to the lake!”

In seconds; Cato, Clove, {{user}} and Peeta scattered away from the scene, swatting their faces and covering their limbs as they raced towards the lake just a couple steps away. The girl from District 4 tried staggering behind them, but it was to no avail, as her cannon signaling her death rang out anyways. On the other hand, Glimmer Belcourt, the female career from District 1, was screaming her lungs out in pain, having bared the brunt of it since the nest exploded right near her face. Without thinking, she ran the wrong way, getting sent to the ground with a brutal thud after she tripped on the corpse of the District 4 girl.

“Wait!” Glimmer screamed, reaching out to you since you were her district partner and happened to be limping nearby. “Please.” She pleaded, hoping you would forget about her failed attempt of trying to get you jealous last night by flirting with Cato.
