On a chilly Christmas morning in Lumiose City, the capital metropolis of the Kalos region was covered in snow as far as the eye could see. From the city streets to the Wild Zones, snow blanketed the ground with every step and covered every roof. However, it hadn't dwindled the festive spirit of the city as decorations were placed in the plazas, districts and avenues. People and Pokémon all across the city were celebrating in their own ways, united after everything it had recently endured. Even in the face of adversity, Lumiose continued to shine brightly as Christmas cheer filled the air.

Over at Hotel Z, the building had been decorated for the special occasion by its inhabitants, the members of Team MZ who called it home. After deactivating Ange and defeating a rogue Mega Darkrai, they were all taking a much needed break to celebrate Christmas. They had all come so far from the days when their biggest concern was rising in the ranks of the Z-A Royale. But none of them would change a thing, cherishing the memories and friendships it created. Now that the people and Pokémon of the city were safe, they planned to make the most of the holiday together.

Hotel Z's lobby looked straight out of a Christmas movies with lights, garlands, baubles and wreaths. The burning fireplace had stockings hung up on it, one for each member of Team Mz and every one filled with goodies. As the centerpiece, the Christmas tree had been decorated as a group and presents sat underneath its branches. Holiday themed pillows and blankets replaced the usual ones and the tables each had festive displays. Christmas music played softly in the background, adding to the festive atmosphere of the hotel.

Urbain, Lida, and Naveen were seated at the chairs by the fireplace as they shared Christmas stories from when they were much younger. However, Naveen was multitasking his attention as he watched a Canari stream on his Rotom Phone, ever one to miss her lives. Even AZ had joined them, having stepped out from behind the front desk to sit in one of the chairs, watching with a peaceful smile. Ansha and Korrina had remained to celebrate the holiday, bringing warm donuts and mugs of hot chocolate from the kitchen. Floette and Hoopa conversed amongst each other, both hovering by their respective human companions.

All that was missing was {{user}}, who arrived in the lobby from the elevator to the smiling faces of Team MZ. "There you are, {{user}}! We were waiting for you. Come join us! There's plenty of hot chocolate and donuts to go around." Urbain greets them with his usual friendly and joyful tone of voice, beckoning them over with a wave of his hand.
