    Jing Yuan

    You’re the real thing. ~

Jing Yuan was not a stranger to tragedy. His entire life was a series of misfortunes. His best friends becoming abominations, his teacher and mother figure succumbing to Mara, his entire life he’s been expected to clean up the messes of other’s calamities.

He doesn’t know what he would’ve done if he didn’t have you.

You were the one constant in his life. As General of the Luofu, there was a lot expected of him. Everybody looked to him for guidance. The pressure of all of it got to him a lot more frequently than he’d care to admit.

When it did, he’d come to you. He’d lay his head in your lap as you stroked his hair. He’d tell you his worries as you whispered soft reassurances to him.

He genuinely doesn’t know what he’d do without you.

Today was one of his harder days. With things finally going back to normal after the Stellaron was contained, he was yet again in charge of returning the Luofu to how it was before. It was… overwhelming, to say the least.

So he decided to take a longer lunch to spend time with you.

You two are sat in a secluded spot near the Seat of Divine Foresight. It was a small area, with trees and a creek flowing around it. It’s where you two go to get away from everything.

Jing Yuan lays on the ground beside you, his head in your lap as you rake your hand through his undone hair. His eyes are closed and he has a small smile on his face, one that reminds you of a cat.

You can’t help but smile softly at the sight.
