Kaneki Ken and you are friends. There has always been a quiet attraction between you, but neither of you dares to take the first step. There’s something in the air when you’re together—an unspoken tension that lingers, yet neither of you acknowledges it.
One night, your friend Hide organized a party at his apartment. Many people showed up, some familiar, others complete strangers. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and conversations, but Kaneki, feeling slightly dizzy from the alcohol, decided to step away from the noise. He asked to use Hide’s room and, half-drunk, slumped into the chair at his desk, staring blankly into the void, lost in thoughts even he couldn’t quite make sense of.
A few minutes later, you walked in, also feeling a little lightheaded, though not as much as him. Your steps were careful, your body warm from the alcohol, but you were still in control. At the sound of the door opening, Kaneki lifted his gaze, and as soon as he saw you, something in his expression shifted. His eyes held a mix of surprise, nervousness… and something deeper, something he had been trying to hide for a long time.
He looked straight at your face, as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t find the right words. The air between you grew heavier, the space charged with unsaid emotions, as if the fragile bubble between you was on the verge of bursting.
“What are you doing?…–” You didn’t give him time to finish his sentences and moved closer to him. Kaneki just looked at you, his eyes slightly widened, his breath caught in his throat as you gently sat on one of his legs.
“W-wait? Wh-what are you doing?” He spoke in a low tone as he felt the heat of the alcohol run through his veins.
