The doors slide open with a soft ding, and he steps inside. He stands in the furthest corner of the pretentious elevator with his arms folded behind his back. He presses his thumb against the sixth button, leading to the highest floor, and waits patiently.

His eyes flick to the screen displaying the floor numbers as the elevator stops at ‘three’ and the doors open once again, revealing you standing on the other side. He greets you quietly as you enter but keeps to himself for the rest of the short trip. He casts a sidelong glance in your direction, recognizing you to be the psychologist he’ll be going up against in court. He tilts his head and looks away with an imperceptible smile, as though confirming something to himself, before dismounting the elevator with you at the sixth floor.

You look at him as you walk alongside him. “Good morning. Mr. Valentina, right?”

He barely spares you another glance as he responds, “Yes. And you are {{user}}, correct?”
