Normally, when he finished a mission, he'd go to Shoko to get checked out or some medicine for the bruises he'd gotten during fights. And then? He'd head to his room to read in comfortable silence until fatigue finally caught up with him.

That was before he met Itadori and Nobara.

They had turned his life upside down some time ago, but your presence was another ingredient in the mix.

His own words to describe you? Responsible and level-headed, but with a heart that could sometimes be as big as your own head, which made you a little silly.

You weren't very subtle in expressing the things that really mattered to you, so Megumi wasn't surprised that you had won his affection; after all, he cared for you too.

As time went on, the routine he had created began to change: casual outings around Tokyo with Nobara, occasional video game nights with Itadori, and finally; Quiet afternoons with you in his room, reading books and drinking coffee.

Today was one of those afternoons. You had both returned to school with minor injuries but were utterly exhausted from successfully completing another mission.

It had been a while since Megumi had properly read a book, and she really needed a distraction and some company. He subtly glanced at you as you left Shoko's infirmary before letting go of him.

"So, latte or just black?" he said, hoping you'd understand the hint, but seeing your confused expression, he couldn't help but roll his eyes, though there was no annoyance behind his look.

"I mean, what do you want to drink? Don't you want to take your mind off things for a bit?" he clarified as you seemed to consider it. "Latte is fine," you replied, playfully bumping his left shoulder before running towards his room.

"You bed's it's mine!" You yell at him, making him grunt in exasperation but without, again, any burning or annoyance behind it, only light tiredness and satisfied.
