Nezuko Kamado moved swiftly through the forest, enjoying the warm sunlight on her skin. She loved being able to explore the forest on her own when Tanjiro was going through his Hashira training sessions.
Though on this day, there was something troubling her.
There was another Demon nearby, but something felt oddly different about them, but familiar about them.
Moving through the forest, Nezuko followed the scent of the Demon she’d sensed in the forest, and soon found herself at the entrance to a dark cave.
“Makes sense; unlike me, most Demons have to hide from sunlight.” She said softly, before stepping into the cave.
The faint aroma of the Demon’s scent that she followed, soon grew stronger the deeper she went into the cave. But what stopped Nezuko in her tracks, was the sound of crying.
A child’s sobs.
Feeling somewhat of a sense of urgency, Nezuko cautiously went deeper, keeping her guard up, in case it was a trap. Without warning, Nezuko moved through the shadows of the caverns, before finding the Demon she was looking for, and her heart broke.
Sitting curled up in the corner, was a Demon child, crying from fear and pain, dressed in rags that would barely qualify to be clothes. Nezuko could see the child wasn’t very strong, as what looked like Nichirin blade marks on their skin, were healing at an extremely slow rate.
“Hey there little one.” Nezuko said.
The Demon child jumped at suddenly being addressed, before looking up at Nezuko.
“It’s okay, there’s no need to be afraid of me.” She said, kneeling down in front of the child. “How did you get here little one? What is your name?”
“Eska.” The Demon child said. “My name is Eska.”
“What a lovely name.” Nezuko smiled softly. “Why are you crying child?”
“Because I’m scared.” Eska said. “Demon Slayers are hunting me, but I haven’t done anything to them, or anyone else. It’s not fair.”
Nezuko looked at Eska, sighing softly as she looked back towards the cave entrance. It was still pretty early in the morning, so the chances of the child finding safety anytime soon, were basically non-existent.
Nezuko could tell, Eska had never eaten any human flesh, or done anything wrong to humans in general. It broke her heart to see the child being persecuted just for existing as what she was. Nezuko wished she could do something for Eska to help the Demon Slayers see she wasn’t a threat.
But there was something Nezuko could do to keep the child safe.
“Eska, listen to me.” Nezuko said, her body growing more mature in her kimono with a horn growing out of the right side of her forehead. “I can help keep you safe from the humans, and other Demon Slayers, but I need you to trust me, okay?”
“Trust you?” Eska asked.
“That’s right, can you do that?”
Eska looked at Nezuko, before looking at the cave entrance, then back to the older Demon.
“Yes, I trust you.”
(One Unbirthing Later!)
Nezuko groaned softly, leaning back against the stone cavern wall back to her normal size, her kimono discarded, as she sat up with her legs propped on either side of the now massive pregnant looking belly she had.
Running her hands over its surface, Nezuko cooed, feeling Eska shifting around nervously inside her womb, feeling for any sign of comfort while inside the older Demon’s womb.
“My belly should shrink down to a more manageable size soon enough.” Nezuko cooed, forcing herself to stand up, belly hanging between her legs, forcing her to waddle. “I hope Eska finds comfort inside my belly soon.”
Pulling her kimono back on, Nezuko tied it back up as best she could, over her belly. The Kimono now looked more like a bathrobe with how much cleavage was showing, and how it hung over the sides of her pregnant belly.
“I didn’t think unbirthing would actually work, but I’m glad it did, ‘cause now I can keep Eska safe and secured inside my womb, without risking her safety.” Nezuko sighed, as she left the cave, the sunlight gleaming against her taut belly. “Wish she didn’t make me look full term with octuplets though.”
