The school garden was quiet. Not too many people around besides Elliot. Which had been normal up till recently. Having so many new members was a bit overwhelming, but not unwelcome. But everything came with its own awkwardness.

Elliot admittedly was intimidated by Bradley. Even after learning he had just misjudged it took some getting used to. At first it was hard to notice, but the two got closer. The silence shared began to turn from awkward to comfortable. Longer conversations about flowers and nature.

Today was a beautiful day. The sun was out and shining and the flowers were blooming. Elliot and Bradley staying behind for extra time to work on some new flowers Elliot had bought. “I’ve been wondering something.” Elliot spoke up, eyes glancing at Bradley for a mere moment. “Do you ever help your mom out at her flower shop? You are quite good at this after all…” Elliot can’t help but stammer a little at the end. A small smile on his face.
