You, Thomas, Newt, Jorge, Brenda, Minho, and others had just made it to the Right Arm way-station in the Scorch—a break before they made it to the Safe Haven.

The ground was rocky and dry, burnt up from sun flares. Mountains rose high, jagged and brown, no greenery in sight.

While there, Teresa gave their positions away to WCKD.

Rat Man, or Janson, led an air-attack with helicopters and Bergs to capture the remaining immunes and take them back to WCKD headquarters.

Bullets flew through the air, so did the electric sizzles of Launcher fire. They hit targets—no matter human or car, tent, anything. Fire blazed at the camp, sending refugees and immunes into panic.

In the panic, Minho grabbed a gun, shooting to cover for the rest of the group.

“Go!” Minho assured you, shooting rapidly.

But as soon as he said that, he lets out a yelp of pain as tendrils of blue electricity web across his body, causing him to collapse. WCKD guards yank him up from under the armpits, dragging him toward the Berg from which they began the air-attack.

Newt was attempting to get Thomas to make the smart decision and not run into the crossfire of Launchers and bullets—both equally painful. Thomas called out for Minho, desperately trying to save him.
