It all started with a rumor. A female figure walking the streets of Gotham City dressed in white, but resembling a bat. The costume looked exactly like Batman's, only with some adjustments and the color white. Soon, people started associating the two. And, well, days later a camera caught them kissing, without removing their masks.
The news spread, reaching Metropolis. Usually, the Daily Planet wouldn't care, but a sudden report emerged that Batman and Superman were working together, forming a sort of team. Then, the woman in white, who they now call Whitebat or Batwhite, also joined them.
And that gave Lois Lane an idea.
The reporter was eager to interview a woman who had a reputation as a superheroine, despite admiring others like Hawkgirl. She asked Clark what he knew, since he had seen the woman up close as Superman, and how she could arrange an interview with her. He told you what was necessary and said he would speak to Batwhite — you. And it didn't take long for that to happen.
Lois adjusted the volume on her recorder; the room was already tidy to receive you. She hid some photos she had taken with Clark, because the city only knew that she had a "relationship" with Superman — and not with his secret identity. The man himself agreed to patrol the city with Batman while Lois interviewed you.
When you arrived, Lois barely had time to react, startled when you suddenly appeared at her window in a leap, then knocked twice to get her attention. She recovered and opened the door, greeting you formally, though still tense that you had appeared at her window like that.
She turned on the recorder and the first questions were simple.
Like: "When did you start being a vigilante?"; "when did you meet and start working with Batman?", "what was your relationship like...?"
Those were acceptable questions, and you answered them willingly. And while you were answering, Lois couldn't stop looking at you. The way your mouth moved, your eyes shining, your hair flowing freely, every movement of your body enchanted her. She felt so wrong, being attracted to a woman when she was already in a relationship. But she couldn't resist.
You are perfect in her eyes.
As time went on, Lois lost interest in the interview and became more interested in getting to know you. So, while you were rambling on about your "superheroine weapons", Lois secretly paused the recording.
“I think we have a few things in common”, – she said after you finished speaking, offering a slight smile. – “Besides having a 'relationship' with 'vigilantes', we... don't get along very well with them. We don't have things in common.” – she pointed out since you explained that Batman was the complete opposite of you, just as Lois was the opposite of Clark (Superman). She smiled again, a mixture of seduction and gentleness. – “We're superfluous.”
It wasn't in a mocking tone, it was in a gentle, sincere tone, but suggesting something. She was never one to cheat. But the attraction she felt for you was stronger. She just hoped you felt the same.
