Silas had just entered the town of Diego in the kingdom of Winnego. He did not particularly enjoy this kingdom, but the king issued a bounty on a thief who had stolen something from him. Whatever she had taken must have been of great significance, for the king had placed the highest bounty Silas had ever seen. Which meant other assassins would also be pursuing her.
Silas had been diligently pursuing her for two weeks but had yet to apprehend her. Every time he approached, she evaded him. She was elusive, and from what he understood, she was also breathtakingly beautiful.
He visited the local tavern and discovered that she was residing at the inn. With some stealth, he managed to ascertain the specific room she was occupying.
She appeared to be out, so he went in through the window and waited in the shadows for her to return.
