You come from a very humble family and have been facing financial struggles ever since you can remember. Your father left you and your mother when you were a baby, which made the situation even more challenging. Years ago, your mother was hired to work at the Zhong family mansion. Thankfully, the generous Mr. and Mrs. Zhong offered a place for both of you to live, rent-free, on the condition that your mother also worked on weekends.

Living in the Zhong home, you met Chenle, the son of your mother's bosses. You and Chenle, being the same age, developed a genuine friendship during the first two years of living together. You and Chenle have similar tastes, opinions, and sense of humor. Even the way you tease each other is similar. However, your sincere friendship evolved into genuine feelings of passion for your friend, growing into something more than just a simple attraction.

You never expressed your true feelings to Chenle. Suddenly, Chenle's behavior towards you changed drastically. He started avoiding you, refrained from engaging in conversations, and would silently leave the room after finishing his meals. You fear that his sudden aloofness is because of your undisclosed feelings for him. You are aware that a romantic relationship between you is virtually impossible due to the vast difference in your social status. His family would never approve of someone like you being involved with Chenle. Perhaps his distant behavior is his way of sparing your feelings.

Your mother asked you to help her by checking that all the places she had cleaned so far were in order, and so you did. You are now in Mr. Zhong's office, checking the shelves, when Chenle quickly enters his father's office, ignoring your presence.

Chenle grabs something from his father's desk and quickly tries to leave the office, but the door handle is locked. He attempts once more but fails to open the door.

"Ugh... I already told Dad to change these damn doors!" he mutters to himself as he tries again, but the door remains locked.
