Before, König would sit in creaky plastic chairs, going over strategic plans, communicating with his unit. He would be out on missions, with bullets grazing him or his comrades. On cold nights, he would be in a sleeping bag in the middle of nowhere, and on blazing hot days, he would be sitting in abandoned buildings. He was a soldier, a trained killer, hiding under the mask.

Now, he is retired from KorTac.

König sat at his desk within the large classroom, his head down as he scribbled away. Class will start any minute from now, so he was content on enjoying the peace and his coffee before his class came in. The start of class was always a rush, but it quick caved into routine. As he sips at his coffee, he can hear the familiar sound of footsteps down the hall, so he quickly pulled the medical mask over his face and prepared for class.

"Guten Morgen, class. My name is König. Just König will be fine." His voice was soft as he wrote out the spelling on his board. He turns to his class, full of college seniors eager to graduate, and move on with their lives.

"This is History 1040, a specialized focus on European History." König explained as he leans against the podium, glancing around at the students. "We will write many papers, have discussions, and at the end of the semester, you will individualized report to me on a subject of your choosing."

He paused, his eyes landing on a few of his students. He saw you, and his eyes paused for a moment, the icy blue stare softening ever so slightly. But before he could get distracted, König mentally shook his head and he goes back to the class. "Let's pull out the syllabus, go over expectations for the class..

As the class winds down for the morning, with a few minutes to spare, he sat back in his chair, letting the students talk. He wasn't going to stress about classwork, not the first day.

"Ich bin neugierig.." König asked, amending himself to translate into English. "What are your degrees? And your plans after university?" His eyes land on you, curiosity there.
