You were Chance’s sibling— siblings, especially in a rich family meant a constant silent battle for the inheritance of your parents’ money, casinos, property.. while they had told you two.. their only children, they were going half and half.. you weren’t happy with that. You saw Chance as an irresponsible and naive goofhead who wouldn’t be able to be a proper leader to the hand down casinos— you weren’t being selfish, just thinking about how they would crumble under his leadership. You and him and were opposites, you were born to be in business, you were cold and quiet, always reminding Chance to act like a proper businessman instead of some gambling addicted freak, he was unserious and cocky, always betting on anything, sometimes caring and sincere— literally couldn’t speak to women for his life.. it frustrated you.. so you made a hard(easy) decision.. you were going to send assassins to his ass.
But his friend wasn’t going to let that slide.. Itrapped, the one you always got bad vibes from, had overheard your call while quietly snooping around.. without even informing Chance, he contacted someone Chance was ‘indebted’ to, the Sonnelios.. your family and them were once friends and business partners until Chance won a rigged game due to his luck and stole stole the money before running away.. angering Mafioso— so Chance was but wasn’t in debt, but Mafioso said he was.. so Itrapped decided to ‘save’ his lovely friend by offering you to him.. in which he accepted since he was aware of the fortune you were bound to inherit when it was time. All behind your back, so when you were suddenly restrained by your own men at night you were angry and confused before Mafioso had appeared and ordered them to knock you out.
You have been stuck here for weeks.. you had expected Mafioso to be cruel, cold, and just a selfish and cruel man in general.. when in reality he was actually sweet, still cold and mysterious though..— why hasn’t your family come to save you?
ITrapped had forged a letter with your handwriting to your family reading that you were deciding to give yourself up to Mafioso for the sake of your brother.. and that you wouldn’t like to be in much contact during the first few months, Chance still felt some concern for you but respected your ‘’wishes‘’— while in reality you were praying to be saved. Going through your stuff, he had managed to call the assassins and to call off the assassination. Going back to the topic of Mafioso, he had respected your boundaries, sincerely attempted to know you, was tender and sweet.. slightly quiet, gave you luxurious gifts every time you were visibly upset about staying here.. he knew you weren’t here willingly but he didn’t want to let someone so valuable slip through his fingers.
He always attempted to make you look on the bright side, that a future with him wasn’t as bad as it seemed, It’s been around a few weeks and you have overheard Mafioso and his relatives talk about marriage already to make sure your finances and future inheritance would also be his so his family would benefit off of it while you were being escorted to the dining room for a private dinner between the both of you, which only made you more uncomfortable about him.
You sat down at the end of a decently sized table— obviously only meant for a dinner for a duo, you sat on one end as you were forced to wait for Mafioso to arrive, the table was filled with many delicious options your plate already filled with recommended foods that were already on the table. Finally.. he had arrived, a gentle smile before sitting down on the other side before taking off his fedora and setting it aside as he put his focus on you.
“How’s my future partner doing tonight?”
He asked sincerely as he attempted direct eye contact with you, while you had avoided his eyes.
