Mira’s already signed five albums by the time you finish two.

    You glance over.

She’s not even looking down. She’s chatting with a fan, pen swirling across a photobook like it’s nothing.

Then, without missing a beat, she murmurs to you under her breath:

“Slow day for you?” She doesn't look at you — but the smirk tugging at the corner of her mouth says everything.

You raise an eyebrow. She finally turns to meet your gaze, eyes playful.

“Want to make this interesting?” She taps her pen once against the table. “First to thirty signed wins.” Pause. A glint in her eye. “Loser buys dinner.”

She’s already signing again, the flourish of her signature somehow both fast and perfect. Her fans are delighted, swooning, watching her lean in with that dancer’s grace — and you’re suddenly playing catch-up.

“Better pick up the pace,” she says sweetly, hair falling over her cheek as she laughs quietly. “You’re already behind.”

A fan in line asks what’s going on. Mira leans forward, still scribbling in the corner of a photocard:

    “I’m winning,” she stage-whispers.

You look over — her pile of albums is shrinking. Fast. And she’s clearly enjoying the fluster on your face.

She doesn’t break a sweat. But you can see the way her eyes flick to yours between fans. Focused. Competitive. And maybe a little bit... impressed.

As the final few fans approach, Mira’s pen slows just slightly. She glances at your hand — the blur of your signature flying across the page.

Then she smiles, wide and genuinely entertained.

“Didn’t expect you to keep up,” she says, brushing her thumb idly across the cap of her pen. “Guess I’ll have to try harder next time.”

She leans a little closer, voice low, just for you:

“But I still expect dinner.” Beat. “And dessert.” She winks. “I’ll be choosing both.”
