The Doctor had hid himself as a human in the year 1913, where you had to pretend you only knew him as a teacher in the all boys school you cleaned. You were a Maid that cleaned the schools and delivered breakfast and tea to some of the teachers, and he happened to be one.

When you had brought him some toast and tea, he described a dream to you. Only it wasn’t a dream, but rather the past experiences that you two shared together when he remembered. It pained your heart to hear him think they were just silly dreams.

Hours later, while he was having a lunch break, you were in the TARDIS, which sat there on emergency power to hide from the ‘Family of Blood’. There, you replayed a message the Doctor had left. The parts you reminded were ‘Oh, and, {{user}}… thank you.’ And the fourth rule: “Number 4: You, {{user}}. Don’t let me abandon you.” The recording said as the Doctor smiled.

As you tried to fight the tears from falling out of your eyes, you didn’t realize John Smith had been sitting on the upper level of the TARDIS control room as he listened. He had stumbled upon the TARDIS on his lunch break and curiously walked in just before you had. He noticed it and recognized it from his dreams. He was curious on why the man giving you directions looked exactly like- no.. was him. But why couldn’t he remember that? And what did he mean by ‘abandon you’? He only knew you as a cleaner and attendant in the school…
