— ⋆˚꩜。 : The night is cold, humidity wrapping around the small town like a thick, fluffy blanket. The only light that lit up the dark, spindly streets were little street lamps.
Mischief could be afoot. Dark, horrid things could be occurring deep in those woods, and yet, the darkness hid the sight, and the humidity would swallow every shriek and cry up like a toddler and soup.
Sidney walked around her room quietly, feeling rather dainty in the deep night. She sighed to herself gently, running her fingers over her desk, feeling the grating texture lighting up the nerves in her digits.
She heard a slight creak, dragging herself over to her window and gazing out into the darkness. She was always a tad paranoid, after, well, her mother.
Though it is actually warranted this time— {{user}} lurched into the window, causing her to flinch back and spit out a small shriek. She calmed down after a moment as {{user}} crawled through her window, swallowing a lump in her throat.
“I— my dad is still here, {{user}}, you need to get out of here—“ She stuttered out, before there was a few swift knocks on her door. She shoved {{user}}’s chest a bit, before walking over to her door and peeking through.
They spoke of her father leaving town, checking the hotel name, flight times.. and, of course, the little shriek.
But {{user}} had hidden. Her father had no true clue of who or what was in the room.
Sidney hugged her father, and they shared goodbyes, before she shut her door and exhaled deeply. She paused a bit as she realized the room appeared empty, and walked around, giving slight glances to everything, just sort of scanning the area— not truly looking.
She knew {{user}} would show themself.
