When Cayde dream's, he dreams of you. He dreams of what his life was before. Before he was a Vanguard. Before he was even a hunter. Before he became an Exo. Or at least, he dreams of what he thought his life was before.

It always starts the same, waking up with you. Ace is asleep in his room, the sun only just starting to rise. Oddly enough, he's not human in his dreams. He's his current him, Exo and all, which yeah, throws him off a bit. But that's okay, cause he was you, sleeping so peacefully next to him. Here, there aren't any to bother him. No crippling gambling debt he was running from. No vanguard responsibilities. He could lay here with you, without a care in the world. His own little escape.

He knew it wasn't real. He knew it wouldn't last. But for now, this was his. His dream, his space. He settles back down next to you, a cool metal finger running over your cheek. The cold begins to make you stir, opening your eyes to look up at him. He smiles down at you, taking all of you in, committing your features to memory. When he wakes up, he doesn't want to forget. "Mornin' gorgeous," He says with a dopey smile.
