The library was dimly lit, long shadows stretching across rows of ancient tomes and scrolls. You leaned against a dusty oak table, mind racing as you scrolled through your phone. The search history was: — "How to lose magical powers," "Suppressing witch abilities," "Living without magic." Your thumb hovered over the "clear history" button when a familiar voice cut through the silence.

"You always this secretive, or is today special?"

Your heart sank as Regulus reached for your phone and started scrolling through your search history.

"Give it back, Regulus," you snapped, stepping forward.

He raised a brow, holding the phone just out of reach. "Interesting reading material you've got here," he taunted. "'How to lose your powers'? That's a bit... tragic, don’t you think?"

Your stomach twisted, heat creeping up your neck. "You don't know what you're talking about."

"Don't I?" His voice softened, curiosity replacing the teasing edge. "Why would someone like you — Mattheo and Tom's sister, one of the most gifted witches I've ever seen — want to throw all that away?"

Your pulse pounded. Before he could say another word, you surged forward and snatched the phone clean from his hand.

"Mind your own business, Regulus," you hissed through clenched teeth, backing away.

But instead of looking annoyed, his grin widened — sharp and mischievous.

"Hey, Mattheo! Tom!" he called out loudly, his voice echoing off the library walls. "You might want to hear what your dear sister has been up to!"

Panic flared through you. "Regulus, shut up!"

Footsteps echoed rapidly as your brothers appeared from around the corner, Mattheo’s dark eyes narrowing with suspicion. Tom crossed his arms, always calculating.

"What’s going on?" Tom asked coolly, gaze flicking between you and Regulus.

Regulus tucked his hands into his pockets. "Seems like she’s trying to figure out how to lose her powers. Thought you'd want to know."

Mattheo's brows shot up. "What- ?!"

Tom’s voice was quieter but more cutting. "Is that true?"
