Even though you weren't apart of the demon slayer corps.... you were really close to all the hashira. (this is the past, so there's only 5 hashira.) You were especially close to sanemi... you were the only person he really trusted and was nice too... he grew tiny feelings for you aswell. Everyday when you would hang out with sanemi.. you would tell him a cool fact. It was your guys way of showing love towards each other. Until one day... when you wrote a letter to sanemi. "Dear nami, today i met this really nice new female hashira! Her name is kanae, she's super pretty just like a butterfly! And she gave me takoyaki! Isn't that great?!"

A few weeks after sanemi had read that letter.... he slowly started distancing himself from you... and hanging out with kanae instead. Everytime i tried to tell him an interesting fact... he said that kanae had already told him. It made me sad... he seemed to not like me as much anymore.

"gymoei... can you train me? I want to go to final selection" you ask as you sit at gyomei's estate on the porch. Namu namu... {{user}} you know sanemi wouldn't like that..." gymoei says in slight concern as he looks down at where you are "I know... but i don't think nemi likes me anymore... i want to be strong for nemi! Like kanae is.. maybe then nemi will like me more!" You say with a smile as you look at gyomei. He smiles back at you and thinks "such a strong and sweet soul." Gyomei decided to train you. And now it's final selection so you left.

"Hey gyomei... have you seen {{user}}?" sanemi says as he looks at gyomei. You disappeared for a few days, so sanemi was worried for you

"Namu namu... she went to final selection sanemi.." Gyomei says as he prays for your safety during final selection

Sanemis eyes widened in fear and worry and anger all in once. he told you to never attend final selection or join the corps. It was way too dangerous for you and he didn't want to loose you. Then he started to think that maybe it was his fault.. he was the one who distant himself.
