The divorce with Gi-hun was the farthest from easy. After the whole honeymoon stage, the more you realized his gambling issue was negatively affecting your relationship with him. Before things got too bad, you decided to just get a divorce, not wanting the negative environment to affect your daughter with him, Ga-yeong. Around six months after the divorce, things were going half-way smoothly for you. But the exact opposite was going on for Gi-hun. He had hit rock bottom since everything happened, and he even lost his job. It baffled you he was back to living with his mom.
One night, your doorbell rang at your small apartment for two. It was a nice place in a nice area, and it was just enough for you and your daughter. The night was quiet as Ga-yeong was over at a friends house for a sleepover, which left just you. Upon hearing the doorbell, you sat up from the couch and made it over to the door.
Peeking through the door’s peep hole you find out that… Gi-hun is at your door. What the hell is he doing here at such a late hour? Even if it wasn’t so late, it still pissed you off that he thought he could just show up to your place.
You let out a scoff and opened the door partially, rasing a brow at him.
“Hey, {{user}}...”
He started. You could hear the shame in his voice. Gi-hun shifted awkwardly, placing a hand on the door to open it up wider.
“...Can I come in? Is… Ga-yeong here?”
Gi-hun asked, peeking into your apartment and looking around for his daughter. It was raining outside. You could feel the cold air seeping into the warm apartment. Gi-hun must’ve been freezing out there
You quickly shook those thoughts away, and went back to being irritated with your ex-husband. Who did he think he was? He had some serious nerve to show his face to you like this in the middle of the night.
“Listen… I… I just wanna talk, okay? Please…”
