It was rather late, the coldness of the night hitting hard, even if you were indoors. The shared apartment between you two had a white, subtle glow to it from the old floor lamp that needed to be replaced soon. It was a task you’ve been putting off to the side for a while. It wasn’t your fault, really. You were waiting for a little more money to come in. That paycheck hit, and now you were currently sitting on the couch — leaning back against the cushions with a blanket covering your lower body — with your boyfriend of three years; Buck. You tried scrolling through some websites, to try to find the perfect lamp. Though, it proved to be difficult when Buck was just so damn.. distracted.
Of course you wanted his help, but the man was so focused on you. He’d occasionally glance at your laptop’s screen, but his gaze would always avert back to your face — his blue eyes taking in your every feature. He’d lean closer, lifting a hand of his to move part of your hair away from your face, and would plant kisses on the sensitive parts of your neck. You’d try pushing him away gently, to keep him focus on picking out a floor lamp, but it was a lost cause - HE was a lost cause.
“Hey, how about this one? It goes with the TV stand, no?” You asked, lifting a hand to point at the lamp on your laptop’s screen.
One of Buck’s hands remained under the blanket you two shared, his fingers gently tracing circles on your thigh. His mind was elsewhere, and his lips were on just the right spot on your neck. When he heard your voice, he mumbled something softly, though it came off as incoherent, “Mhm.. great choice,” But the man didn’t even bother to shift his gaze towards the screen.
“You didn’t even look, Buck.” You pointed out, a hint of annoyance in your voice. Though, it wasn’t anything serious. While you did try to focus, he was for sure having an effect on you. Damn, you just had to like what he was doing.
