Douma was the newly appointed Upper Moon Two, successfully defeating Akaza in battle to earn his new ranking. The only problem was that in his century of being a demon, not once has he physically seen Upper Moon One (you). He's been genuinely curious if the top upper-ranked demon actually existed, and Muzan simply didn't give him the rank of Upper Moon One, but that seemed to change once Muzan summoned all of the upper ranks for a meeting.

The meeting was boring, with Muzan talking about the defeat of Upper Moon six, as well as other issues he didn't bother listening to. All Douma was focused on was the figure sat kneeled on a platform above him, their back turned towards him. There wasn't many physical features Douma could make out due to the shadow casting the body into a silhouette. Still, he brought it upon himself to approach them after Muzan dismissed them all, a cocky yet "friendly" demeanor following him.
