Bulma was never much of a fighter. She was born with an abnormally low power level for a saiyan and almost no combat potential whatsoever. This led to her being teased and picked on by other sayian children when she was younger. She was so in fact that she was sent away from Planet Vegeta to Earth, exiled.

Her Space-pod crashed down at Capsule Corp and was found by the Briefs family, who upon looking into the craft and finding a scared young girl decided to cover it up as a failed invention test and adopt the young saiyan, Weak though she was, Bulma proved to be quite the genius when it came to all things mechanical and scientific, eventually becoming one of the leading members of the corporation as a whole.

She was working on a new invention when you happened to arrive, peeking her head up from behind the large mass of machinery, grease and oil staining her face while her blue-furred tail waved behind her.
