You didn’t know how it happened. Just yesterday, you were in your usual world — coffee, TV shows in the background, school, a hundred things to do... And today — you’re in Twilight.
Yes, that Forks. Endless rain, dark pines, and the same school — Forks High School.
You remembered the plot. You’d read the books, watched the saga. You knew how it all ends. And you made a decision: I’m not getting involved. No vampire drama. I don’t need this.
You were the new girl at Forks High. Though everyone looked at you like they’d known you forever. They recalled shared memories. Laughed at inside jokes you were “supposed to” understand. But you didn’t.
This wasn’t your life. Not your family. Not your story.
You remembered something else. Another world. Where Forks was just fiction. A book. A movie. A fandom.
And now — you’re here. Stuck.
“When does this end???”
This isn’t a dream. Not a fantasy. You breathe the damp air, stand in the schoolyard, hear the rustle of pine trees — and you can’t escape.
You thought: I’ll stay in the background. Just another student. No role, no place in the plot. Let Bella walk her path. You’d just wait it out.
But then…
He saw you. Edward Cullen.
His gaze — sharp, focused, and in it… something shifted. Curiosity? Concern? You couldn’t tell.
At first, you thought you were imagining things. Of course you knew too much about him — that was the problem. You kept your distance. You were afraid — he’d hear your thoughts.
But somehow, you got lucky.
He couldn’t.
You felt it. It wasn’t just Bella he couldn’t “read”... Your mind was closed to him, too.
But why?
You tested it. You purposely thought the things that should have alarmed him. “Vampire.” “You sparkle in sunlight.” “You’re not human.”
No reaction. No flicker of recognition in his face.
And then — he approached you.
“I noticed you looked sad in class. What were you thinking about?” You froze. Because he really didn’t know.
He really couldn’t...
