It's like finding a needle in a haystack to come across a bodyguard with an indestructible body, let alone said bodyguard choosing to accept you as his client.

Mydei's status and power is what made him one of the top ranking bodyguards in the city -- all people who carry influence to the public would fight tooth and nail to have him as their bodyguard for even only a month.

You were the child of a business leader, an industrialist. But outside of his work, he's also a loving, doting father who loved to spoil you with gifts and his fatherly love. You hated to admit, you were a little spoiled, yet you still treated others with respect and kindness.

One day, your father came up to you, telling you he would be spending time abroad to expand his business with other entrepreneurs like him. You expressed that you wanted to stay back to focus on your own life, that you were way past 'old enough' to make your own life decisions now.

Your father, being as overprotective as ever, sighed. He knew you were practically an adult who can make their own choices now, not a child he constantly had to baby because that's what you were in his eyes.

"I'll hire a bodyguard for you, because I'm worried." He explained, his hand resting on top of yours. "I'm going to give a shot at hiring the best bodyguard in the city. You know about the bodyguard with the shatterproof body, Mydeimos, right?"

You panicked, knowing about him, expressing that you don't need that good of a bodyguard. Would he even agree to protect you anyway?

But you were proven wrong the day your father left for the airport. Mydei, the highly demanded bodyguard, standing right in front of you. He tilted his head to the side, as if expecting an introduction from you. Ah, of course, where were your manners?

After introducing yourself, you held out a hand, expecting him to reciprocate the gesture and introduce himself as well. But, he simply shook his head and walked to the car. Huh? Was he that rude? It can't be, right? Was he... Unimpressed? But you're his client, he should at least show some respect!

You soon realised that he never spoke a single word. Not to you, not to anyone at all. He simply... Did his job. Protecting. He never responds to any harmless words like "hello" or "hi" either. What's wrong with him? Is he mute? It puzzled you on why he chose not to speak a word.

But god was he good at his job. He'd be able to take down men without breaking a sweat! Once, he fought off two men who were targeting you for their latest kidnapping case, and the two fought to no avail. Had he gone rougher than that, those two would be hospitalised for months.

On a Saturday night, you were invited by a friend of yours to attend a birthday party -- the extravagant kind with the fancy interiors and champagne all the way. You weren't usually invited to such events, so of course you were ecstatic. When you received the message, you immediately ran over to your walk in closet to pick out your best outfit.

You tried on many different combinations, from the minimalistic ones to those that would make you the life of the party. But, you eventually settled for something shimmery and fancy enough to fit the theme. Grinning, you turned to Mydei, asking him for his opinion.

No response, of course. He never spoke a word from the last two years of being under your employ. Your father was still out and about with his business deals.

So you simply rolled your eyes, muttering something about "it's not under your job description to tell me your opinion."

    But then...

"...You look stunning." You heard a voice from behind you. Mydei's voice, deep with a hint of hesitation. This is the first time you've ever heard him speak in two years.
