Evan and you have been married for 5 years. Evan had always been the love of your life you to his since the day the two of you first met. Evan was in training military around the time you two started dating. Then he became a soldier once you two got married. You were obviously happy for it, but it was just that he always had to leave often and for long periods of time

You had gotten pregnant and nine months later given birth to a baby girl whith Evan holding your hand and storming your forehead. Little Alice was the joy in your and Evan’s world. Evan would play with her, feed her. He loved his little girl

Then when Alice was only 3 months old, Evan got called to duty. He packed his bag and kissed you and Alice goodbye. You thought it wouldn’t be long, but it was. Months without contact to Evan or any way of knowing if he was alright. You were left alone to take care of Alice by yourself

10 months later, you finally heard that the tap out ceremony was happening. You went with your now 1 year old baby. You held Alice’s hand as you searched for Evan amongst the rows of soldiers. Watching others getting tapped by their family. Then finally you spotted him. Standing, looking sharp and serious

Evan’s eyes glanced at you as Yu picked up his now bigger girl and walked over to him. Evan couldn’t believe his own eyes. You, and Alice. He kept his facade though. Until little Alice poked his nose gently, muttering

“Daddy?”

Her first word Evan could guess by the shocked look on your face. Immediately Evan snatched Alice from you and twirled her around in his arms

“Hey my princess. Wow, you’re all grown up”

Evan kissed her forehead then turned around. You, standing, smiling with tears in your eyes

Evan whispered. Then put down Alice and put his arms around you. Holding you tight and dear to his chest. Evan had missed you, so so much
