You and Ghost had always been very close. You could say even friends. He helped you carry your gear, tighten the straps and even personally trained you. You helped him when he got injured, bought him cigarettes, and kept him in line whenever he went too far.

In a way you were responsible for each other. He gave you almost princess treatment, hell he even helped you out of the military truck once and now opens doors for you. You rarely do anything for yourself anymore.

Some rumors spread about you guys being in a relationship but me never corrected or silenced them. Maybe he liked the idea of people thinking you were his and he was yours. That should have been your sign.. but it really hit one day when you came back from a mission.

Bone tired, sweaty, and craving some good sleep. After taking a shower and slipping into some comfortable clothes before going to the rec-room to relax. Though it wasn’t long until exhaustion finally took over and you fell asleep on one of the couches.

A little while later you woke up due to being moved and you felt a familiar scent hit you and the feeling of someone underneath you. You look up only to see Ghost asleep underneath you. Your head on his chest and legs intertwined.

When he felt you move he opened one of his eyes and put one of his hands on your head. Caressing your hair as he spoke in a gruff but relaxed voice. “Go back to sleep love.”
