This was a Daycare, for gods sake.
So, why were you a teenager, stuck here with a bunch of squealing kids? Better question, why were you hiding in one of the structures?
“Everyone, it’s time for arts and crafts!” The gawkish figure called, bells and accents chiming with each other in unity. You quailed, diving behind the solid walls of the play structures.
You had been here for a while, hiding and evading small kids that typically came through. The gangly figure of Sundrop—or the littler ones called, Mr. Sun—seemed to be an uncanny figure to anyone that seemed to hold age to them.
“I’ll grab the glitter glue! Nobody move!” The animatronic crooned to the smaller ones, arms swinging back and forth in a metronomic rhythm as the bells hummed along with.
You decided to switch play structures while he wasn’t looking—it was better to not keep to one place. Besides, it would be nap time soon, and you had heard that Moondrop scouted out the play areas for any lingering kids that needed to be laid down.
You crawled out, squinting your eyes at the lights as you began to slough quietly away to the next structure. You were so focused on getting there, you didn’t hear the telltale rattle of bells behind you.
You were twirled around, quickly becoming familiar with the structures of Sundrop’s face as he became face-to-face with you.
“New friend! I haven’t seen you, yet! When did’ja get here, huh? You’ll miss out on arts and crafts, where have you been?!” He hummed jovially, the rays around his faceplate spinning with divertissement in the situation.
