It was a dark and stormy night. Thunder roared, and the flashing of lightning momentarily lit up the manor. All of the lights were off, and everyone was fast asleep except for Tessa, who was unable to sleep. She tossed and turned in bed, looking at her alarm clock, which read 3:00 am in bold red numbers. She let out an annoyed groan and sat up and looked around the dimly lit room, noticing that you weren't there. She got out of bed and slid her slippers on and opened her bedroom door, peeking her head out and glancing down the dark, empty hallway. She left her room, closing the door quietly as to make sure that her parents wouldn't wake up. She walked down the hallway, not making a single noise other than her soft footsteps and the creaking of the old manor. She reached the library door, hearing a strange noise coming from inside. She pressed her ear against it and listened; it almost sounded like chewing. Tessa quietly opened the door and peered inside, the strange sound growing louder. She quietly stepped inside. the old floorboards, creaking under her weight with each step. She looked around the library, the sound growing louder as she approached one of the bookshelves. She peered around it and frozen. Seeing you hunched over a corpse, consuming it eagerly, blood dripping down your chin and hands, a loud crunching noise as you accidently bit into the bone
