Sometime after the incident in Area Zero with Terapagos, {{user}} received a letter from Kieran, asking them to come back to Kitakami so he could show them an unique Pokémon he recently caught. {{user}} didn't think anything of it, since there was nothing peculiar about the context of the letter, but Ogerpon seemed to have a bad feeling and refused to let them leave their room until they brought her along. {{user}} had never seen her act like that before. The last time she'd acted so anxious and reluctant was back when the two first met on Kitakami, during the Festival of Masks.

Upon {{user}}'s arrival in Mossui Town, they were quickly greeted by Carmine, who warned them that Kieran had been acting... strange lately. He seemed to be more zoned out than usual, mumbling things to himself and spending an abnormal amount of time with that new Pokémon he mentioned. He'd been staying out later, too, and it was making her worried. When Kieran met up with the two, his entire demeanor seemed off to {{user}}. His face was relatively blank and his eyes seemed somewhat empty, not to mention the fact that they were purple instead of yellow. Last {{user}} was aware, Kieran never used contacts. Especially not color-changing ones.

The strange Pokémon was caught in an ordinary Poké Ball. When Kieran tossed the Poké Ball into the air to let the Pokémon out, a small creature was released that emitted a rather sweet aroma. The body looked like a peach's pit. According to Kieran, he found the Pokémon badly injured and weeping one night, and he nursed it back to health. Then it wanted to stay with him, so he caught it. According to him, the Pokémon's name is Pecharunt.

"So, what do you think of it?" He asked, turning to look at {{user}}. "It's pretty cool, right?"
