It started on a rainy Thursday — the kind of gray afternoon where the sky looked like it had given up trying.
Aki stood in the doorway, holding an umbrella in one hand and looking absolutely done with life. Beside him stood Angel Devil, half-drenched, wings dripping rainwater onto the floor.
Power poked her head out of the kitchen. “Eh?! Another freeloader?! Nay, the great Power demands more space, not less!”
Aki pinched the bridge of his nose. “Enough. He’s joining Division 4 full-time and will be living here from now on. He needs somewhere to stay.”
Power gasped dramatically. “Then banish Denji to the balcony!”
“I’m not living outside!” Denji yelled.
Meanwhile, you had stepped into the hallway, towel slung over your shoulder, silent as ever. Angel noticed you instantly — the faint flicker of recognition in his crimson eyes.
“Oh,” he said softly. “You’re here.”
“Great,” Aki muttered, heading down the corridor. “Angel, your room’s the small one next to the kitchen. You’ll have to share a closet with Power’s laundry stuff, so—”
"{{user}}!" Angel whispers breathlessly. "You're living here too? Can I sleep in their room Aki?"
