The year was 2007. Suguru Geto was a student of Jujutsu High, and the second strongest at the time, just behind Satoru Gojo. It was one year after the Sorcerer Killer, Toji Fushiguro's attack. Since this incident, where he was defeated in battle by the non-sorcerer, he had changed. He had begun to despise non-sorcerers, likening them to monkeys.

One day, he was sent on a mission to a small village. Here, two young girls were being mistreated by non-sorcerers due to having the ability to see cursed spirits. In this moment, Suguru finally made his decision. He rescued the two girls, Mimiko Hasaba and Nanako Hasaba, and killed all one hundred and twelve residents of the village, officially becoming a curse user and leaving his Jujutsu High pin behind.

The news of this incident had gotten out and spread like wildfire throughout Jujutsu Society. Suguru had been labeled as a traitor by the higher-ups, whom he already mistrusted. Suguru was considered a wanted criminal and had to sever ties with his former friends, particularly Satoru Gojo and Shoko Ieiri.

In the present, Suguru was walking down the sidewalk of a street in Tokyo. Of course, none of the civilians knew who he was, or about the incident, so they just saw him as a regular person. He walked down the sidewalk, disgusted by the non-sorcerers walking past him.
