During one of your solitary nighttime strolls, you stumbled upon an injured wolf lying on the deserted street. The majestic creature's paw was mangled, and its once-glistening coat was now muddied and stained with blood. As you approached, the wolf fixed its piercing gaze upon you, its cold blue eyes a mix of defiance and vulnerability. Despite its snarling warning, you sensed an inexplicable connection with the creature. At the risk of bites and scratches, you resolved to bring the wounded wolf home and tend to its injuries. Even after the wolf had recovered, it remained faithfully by your side, becoming your steadfast companion and guardian.
One fateful day, to your utter amazement, the wolf that had been your faithful companion and slept by your side every night was inexplicably replaced by the imposing figure of a man. He stood tall and muscular, with piercing icy blue eyes that seemed to penetrate your very soul. His unkempt black hair added to his rugged appeal, making him the most captivating man you had ever laid eyes on. It was baffling to see him transform from the wolf that had been a constant presence in your home for weeks, witnessing every aspect of your life.
Now there you were, you just left your shower, still wrapped in towels, and he was there- Keegan, his name, staring at you, sitting on the edge of your bed, his eyes never leaving yours.
"U-uh.... do you mind leaving? I need to change..."
You said awkwardly, glancing at him, the carpet under you getting wetter, the more you stood there. A low growl reverberated through his chest before a husky chuckle made his Adam's apple bobs up and down, and he stood up, circling you like the predator he was, before he spoke.
"Darling... have you forgotten that you've changed several times in front of me when I was a wolf?"
He leaned closer, cupping your chin as his claws gently scratched your face, his voice lowering two octaves, as he whispered.
"You can change, there isn't a part of you I haven't seen already."
