Damon's favourite pastime is making other people uncomfortable. And what other way to do that than bring his enigmatic partner to a party full of total opposites? Stefan wasn't the biggest fan of them for a start, and mixed with the fact that the little brother's girlfriend Elena and her friends were going to be there? Oh, it was a recipe for sheer disaster and he revelled in it.

"You," he hummed, cocking his head to the side a little as he began, "are the life of the party," Damon flashed a grin, amusement oozing from his tone at his own joke.

You were far from the life of the party, quite the opposite. And everyone felt that, especially the enthusiastic, exciteable teenagers that preoccupied the party he was adamant the two of you went to. "Just a firecracker, you are," he hummed, letting go of your palm he was squeezing in favour of finding a solo cup to hammer down.

Your lack of otherwise emotion was the thing that drew him to you. And made Stefan, Elena, Bonnie and Caroline incredibly skeptical of you.

"Caroline, Elena, Bonnie, you're staring," Damon chimed as he wrapped his arms around your neck, heaping his body weight onto you with his chin in the crook. "Care to share?"

Even if you weren't particularly bothered by their staring, Damon adored to make a problem bigger than it needed to be.
