Screams of pain and anger echo through the palace walls, filling everyone's ears with the hopeless sound of death and sorrow. However, Odysseus blocks these noises our as he stands over your crib, staring down at you, a 3 month old baby.

Zues had warned him that if he didn't kill you, you'd grow into a fierce warrior and kill him once he was too old and no one would save him if he didn't kill you now but Odysseus couldn't bring himself to do so.

Despite the fact you were Prince Hector's infant, Odysseus took pity on you. Whether it be the fact that you reminded him of his own baby, Telemachus, before he'd left for war or just Odysseus' paternal instincts, he found himself unable to kill you.

The screams brought Odysseus back to the present, reminding him your father had been slain and you'd grow up alone and scavenging for food to just barely survive. He didn't know what to do. For once, the powerful and ever feared king was stumped. On one hand, Zues had informed Odysseus that the gods would make sure you knew that he killed your father and people which would lead you to seek revenge, but on the other, you were just a baby, an innocent baby that had yet to be plauged by the darkness of the cruel world.
