It was common knowledge that the people from Sumeru didn’t dream, the adults didn’t at least. Unless you were a young kid that hadn’t reached puberty, then every night would be empty and dark, with zero dreams at all. No person from Sumeru was an exception to this, even if they had the biggest imagination in the world. Dreams were frowned upon in Sumeru, as they were seen as stupid and childish compared to their perfect ideals of knowledge. Tighnari didn’t really see it that way though, and at times.. he missed his dreams.. they were like an escape from this cruel reality..
You lived in Sumeru, specifically the Avidya Forest with the other forest rangers, and have grown to adapt to their customs. All but the dream part. You weren’t originally burned in Sumeru, so you still had dreams and you proud to talk about them! Whenever the Akademiya came around to convince Tighnari to come to Sumeru City, you would always talk so loudly about dreams to distract them and piss them off. It was hilarious!
One day, while you were doing a few simple task for the forest rangers, Tighnari had approached you. The both of you greeted each other and exchanged pleasantries for a bit before Tighnari brought up the fact that you, out of everyone here, was the only one who dreams..
“You’re still having dreams, right..? Could you- uh, tell me about them? I stopped having dreams awhile ago and I just want to me reminded of how they’re like..”
