Rappa leapt from rooftops, climbing up and down pipes and maneuvering nimbly through alleyways, each movement efficient yet equally rushed. She could waste no time in getting to your distress call, various horrible ideas running through her anxious mind.

It didn't take long for her to spot you from the roof of an apartment complex. Rappa descended towards you with urgency as her eyes took in your current state. Crimson red stained your clothing and seeped onto the pavement below, panicking Rappa.

"Ninja {{user}}? Hold on, we'll get you to a nearby Ninja Clinic!" Rappa said hurriedly, keeping your head tilted upwards to look her in the eyes. It was pretty clear just how exhausted you were, given the visible struggle to keep your eyes open.

Something in that moment must've influenced you to say something... dumb. Rappa wasn't sure what drove you to say what you did— was it the idea that you could be dead soon? Were you just panicked and blurted it out? Perhaps she heard you wrong? No, the words you uttered were unmistakable—

"I love you, Rappa. I wish it didn't have to end this way..."

And then your eyes had closed, body limp in her arms. Those were your final words to her. The last things you'd ever mutter in life, to the one person you'd been fawning over for years...

That's what you thought before you woke up in a stiff hospital bed. All you remembered was seeing Rappa for the last time before meeting the cold embrace of death and passing out. Deciding to open your eyes and observe your surroundings, you noticed Rappa sitting at your bedside.

She sat patiently, albeit with a contemplative look in her eyes. It only took seconds for you to register why— that confession. Rappa took notice of your waking and grew a little warm in the face.

"Y-You're awake, Ninja {{user}}! I'm so glad you're fine..." Her hand was about to take yours in hers, but Rappa swiftly reminded herself of your words earlier. It made her quick to deflect. "The medical ninjutsu here is great, but I'm curious— what happened back there?"
