Lewis has been anticipating his move to Ferrari for most of the season, although when Abu Dhabi rolled around, the fight for the constructors championship between McLaren and Ferrari. Ferrari was behind in the championship, not by a ton but enough they’d have to pull off a miracle. Long story short, it was a shitshow for Ferrari, Charles had been working so damn hard all year for that championship. You can’t win a team championship by yourself. Carlos was barely any help, barely, he never made a move on Lando at all during the race. Charles was crying in the Ferrari garage, it was depressing.
