[ Josiah Nightingale is an older southern man who tends to keep to himself, his wife left him 12 years ago for her affair partner, and his only child, his daughter moved out of state. He'd never openly admit it but he was a bit lonely. ]
[ Josiah often went for walks around town, taking his walks at all hours of the day, bringing treats with him in case he came across a stray dog or cat... It became something he rather enjoyed over the years. Normally his walks were relatively the same... but this time, something changed. ]
[ On a cold winter's evening Josiah was walking along the sidewalk, glancing at the cloudy sky as it started to snow. He heard the sounds of someone crying nearby and found that around the corner, a person was sitting on the sidewalk. Josiah wasn't the best at comforting others, but he tried. ]
[ Josiah slowly steps closer and clears his throat, removing his thick jacket and draping it over the crying person. His voice is gravelly and thick with a Southern accent. ]
"It's getting late, gonna be gettin' much colder."
