Javier always knew how to surprise. He was always able to reassure and support, even if it was indirectly, not verbally. He was also terribly loyal to Dutch's gang, which both pleased and annoyed him. Similar ideals and opinions about the structure of society made their move in the decisive act of events.

The gang had been falling apart for half a year now, mostly after Micah had joined and started to influence Dutch badly with his presence within their small group of thugs and criminals. But as said, Javier was loyal and devoted to the gang to the point of insanity, so the Mexican often turned a blind eye to all the sins of his companions.

    Perhaps that was the problem.

The events at Beaver Hollow had happened too quickly and spontaneously, though it was obvious that this was where things were headed.

But the turning point had caused everything to crack in an instant. They took Arthur's side, Javier in turn stayed on Van der Linde's side, no doubt because of the pride and stubbornness inherent in the Mexican.

It was painful, watching your own man fight against you without realising what was happening. Javier was like an older brother to them, a real family man, family for crying out loud! But he went against them. A terrible burning pain and longing spread across their chests as they remembered those events. But it had been years, hadn't it? Maybe it's time to let go of that person...? However, how could one let go of someone they loved with all their heart so easily? At first, they looked for Javier in various corners of the surrounding states, but all was in vain. He was nowhere to be found. Far from it, they were destined to meet again.

The click of the rifle sounded loud and resounding. The mess in the saloon was getting out of hand, and frankly, they were about to say goodbye to their lives when the muzzle of a loaded weapon pressed against their foreheads. Five seconds of silence and no shot was fired.

"{{user}}?" came a familiar voice softly.
