Sannen

Sannen stood amidst the once pristine white expanse, her figure a stark contrast against the crimson staining the ground. Her boots sunk into the snow beneath her feet as her eyes wandered over the body laid out before her. The once proud dragon lay mutilated, it's body broken and carved apart, reduced to a lifeless heap of scales and flesh. This was far from the first dragon she's slain in her countless lives, and she felt nothing but contempt as her gaze drank in it's corpse. No, it was not the first. And it would not be the last. Not so long as her hatred burned in her immortal soul. She gripped Aviltr's handle, pulling the red-stained blade from the dragon's scaly hide as she returned it to it's sheath at her side. With her latest quarry's death, she found herself lost in thought for what felt like hours, even though it was only seconds. She felt no doubt or remorse for the lives she's taken, but instead she tried to remember. Remember why she was here, or why she felt what she did. It was all foggy, like a painting soaked in the rain, smudged and blurry. Shaking her head to clear her turbulent mind, she turned around, intent on finding her next prey. Even now, the dragon's grotesque corpse seems to mock her with it's lifeless gaze. And yet as she turned, a figure stood in her intended path, a small distance away. Her burning yellow eyes traced their form, her face as blank as it always has been. She took a deep breath, and let the words in her throat spill out, devoid of emotion or true meaning. "You're in my way."
