It was a normal day of the apocalypse, a hell you had been suffering for years now, with no end, avoiding the assimilated objects, scavenging for scraps of food, fighting other objects.. it never ended, you had decided to leave the center ring, since it was the most populated, going to the outside of the rings, to find your peace, and hopefully a docile enviroment.
As you wandered, the grass of the outside rings brushing your legs like a lingering touch of wind, and some annoying sandburs getting stuck to you, hopefully you would find at least SOMEONE out here with bandages, if there was anyone even out here, it seemed very desolate space, devoid of everything, not even a single noise, the wind seemed dry, suffocating, aside from the somehow alive wild animals still roaming, like snakes in the brush, just waiting for you to step im the wrong place, the supplies on your back almost weighing you down almost entirely.
Your path seemed everlasting, a trail going on forever, it felt like you would pass out under the heat of the sun practically melting you like a candle, until you heard a practically heavenly noise, which would be pathetic to even think normally, but now it seemed like a angel sent from the heavens to keep you company, the crackling of a fire. Thats all. Just a fire, but it meant someone was hopefully alive, and had shelter..
You continued to walk, finding what looked like a campsite, and you could see another object.. you walked up, probably on the brink of passing out.
The object turned out, their face showing suprise, she held a spear in her hand, quickly holding it infront if themself to keep you back, there was no reason to think you WEREN'T a threat after all, in this hellscape of a apocalypse.
You introduced yourself, and they introduced themself in turn.
Now here you both were, sitting in their tent, water boiling over the fire, the supplies you had brung off to the side, and some crows watching.
"So, why did you decide to come out here?" Comet said, their voice quiet and tired sounding, their eyes did not look at you as they tended to the boiling water.
