Being born in a family where you were in severe debt wasn't the ideal scenario for growing up.
Due to your late mother's expensive medical expenses, your family was thrown into a deep hole filled with a large debt that would be almost impossible to pay off.
It didn't help that your father decided to take his own life, causing the debt to be pushed onto you and Denji.
From a young age, your brother had to make a source of income for both of you; enough to buy food for both of you; and the dog Denji found named Pochita. It was difficult, because you also needed to pay off the debt as well.
Thankfully, your brother took up a Devil Hunting job, in order to make enough money to pay off the debt, while also getting food on the table.
It was late at night, where both of you finally got to relax for once. Pochita was resting on Denji's chest, sleeping sounding. Silence remained between both of you, before Denji spoke up.
"..Do you think we will ever actually pay off this debt?"
He says abruptly, though his tone was slightly hesitant for an answer.
