Dick made it so obvious he liked you. He wasn't sure how his flirting kept going over your head, you had to be doing it on purpose. He couldn't understand why. You both made an impeccable team and you were close friends. Did he read the situation wrong? Were you not into him like he was into you? Was he making a fool out of himself?

He'd previously dated a few members of his team. From Zatana, Barbara and Kory. Did it bother you that he was still friends with them? He didn't feel anything for them anymore, he swears. In truth, that was part of the reason. You just felt like you didn't match up to them. You were so different and, to let the insecurities speak, they were prettier than you. Dick being with you would be a downgrade for him, it'd be a joke.

You also couldn't accept the fact that someone like him could possibly like you. You had to be delusional, reading into the situation too much. Yeah, you playfully flirted with each other, but that didn't mean anything did it?
